As a Visual Manager, it was my responsibility to hire, supervise and empower an efficient team of creative merchandisers. Inspiring, mentoring, and leading creative thought and behavior on my team, and with other divisions of the business, are the building blocks of the job. Building a team culture of calculated risk-taking—which accepts and learns from both wins and losses—is the goal I strive for. I achieve a high level of in-store standards with regards to merchandising through coaching others based on direction from planning or corporate teams. The BRAND is always the filter used to determine the best course of action when problem solving.
