New Store Openings / Remodels

Project management is a strength of mine. I have been honing this skill for many years. I enjoy the organization needed to manage a large scale project like a remodel. I lay out the road map and plan the logistical process of a project. Nordstrom Mall of America underwent a large scale, remodel that started in November 2018 and ended in November 2019 . As the Project Manager, I was the liaison between Store Manager, Corporate Store Design and the entire store staff. The project remained on budget and completed on time.

Events

Store events can create additional revenue for a retail store. There is much preparation that goes into a well executed store event. Florals need to be ordered, spaces cleared and outside vendors need to be coordinated. The partnership of a sales manager, visual manager and store manager are key to the success of these events.  I have a proven track record of increased attendance rates and expected volume met, if not exceeded.

My skill set isn't limited to Retail Merchandising. I have an eye for event set ups, floor sets and store design. I have been lucky enough to be a part of many store openings and remodels through my career. The organization required to effectively run a project at this level is invigorating. Back of House projects are rewarding because I strongly believe this creates happier employees. Re-organizing a space not only instills more efficient habits but can also revitalize a stale environment. I am a strong believer in the "change is good" motto and encourage that same thought from my team.
